For people who concerns how safe is TTFlash

Since I had my car Flashed by Mark at Turbotrix, I had doubt about how safe my tune is. I had ran 4 track days since the Flash. Last month at Summit Pt., the Flash is working great, good power but I can't really say if its reliable or not because it's just a regular track day with four 25 mins session. But after the last two days at the Watlins Glen, I really have to give Mark two thumbs up.

Me and my friend's evo are both tuned by turbo trix any our cars performs fawlessly through out the 2 days event, forgot how many cars we rolled. We had 5 session in day one, 25 mins each, day 2 is even crazier 3 25mins session and 2 HOLY$#*t 45MINS session!! And people who ran in Watkins should know its a super fast track. Always in full boost. Over 135mph in the back straight(turn 2 all the way to the bus stop) for a track newbie like me (more experience driver will even go faster). Also My friend is an instructor so beside his normal track session, he took other people/ students out in other run group like a taxi cab. If the tune is "unsafe", "too lean" or "too agressive" there is no way the motor will last. The motor is super consistant, no power drop, pull timing or anything like that. Remember, this is 5 freakn' HOURS of constant beating on the car, redline after redline. This is how you can say out loud how safe and powerful your tune is. But not by running on the street or doing 12sec runs at the drag strip.

We drove 6 hours back home right after the event without loosing a drop of oil or coolant. Btw, we both both runing stock injectors and headstuds with around 325ish hp. I'm so beatup right now, gotta go to bed..zzZZZ

Yeah, once you get comfortable through the esses, you can hit 145+ on the back straight...if you're not worried about brake fade before the bus stop, that is...

Damn, can't wait to go back next month.

I floor it from turn 2 up hill esses all the way to the bus stop. The car is very stable there. but the fastest I can go is 135-136mph and going in and out the bus stop around 80+mph. It was a blast. I was running ferodo 2500 with new ATE fluid, no fading, I had a little pad transfer during some session but it went away after a few hard braking lol. The weather was in around 70s so that helps too.

You can go faster into the bus stop. Are you in 3rd or 4th gear? Just keep it in 4th from the entry to the bus stop all the way into the braking zone for the toe of the boot. And NEVER put the power down early going up the toe, that's an easy way to practice your drifting skills. :-)

Yeah I feel I can go faster into the bus stop too I will try it next time. I down shifted from 5th to 4th into the bus stop. I agree no need to shift to third, just 4 gear, down hill and all the way to the uphill right hander then 3rd for the up hill. 4G63>0000, we should go together next time =).

Hehe, I was actually signed up for the NASA event, but had to back out due to work.

I'm doing the EMRA Glen time trial in October though, if you want to meet up.

I have a 333whp/322tq daily driver evo, great street performer. Reliable and mpg is average. Not bad when I have to smoke some v8's on my way to the grocery store. Mine was done in their shop in Edison on an AWD dyno.

Mods are, intake, TB, fuel pump, MBC, HKS cams and TTflash for the motor.
