System building help please!!!
hey guys i wanna hide my amps so the easiest way to do this would be is to build a hidden floor in the trunk....so it can also "hug" my one ten box and keep it stable... Anyone do this? i think i'm ganna make the floor out of plywood? any other ideas or pics of this done...i need to do this b4 HIN and if u have any other ideas please let me know
I had thought about making a custom fiberglass enclosure or shelf that replaces that flimsy piece of trim that is on the back of the seats. It wouldnt be too hard and wouldnt take too much space. And you could keep your spare. I guess the only problem would be sealing it up. At any rate its a while off before I attempt it.
I built a rack in between the back seat and the sub box. The rack holds the 2 amps and capacitor fine. The sub box (2 JL 10w3) is in front of the rack, and doesn't take up much room at all. I mean, I can still get to the spare and everything, room for the golf clubs, groceries.....etc....So, you can't see any amps or wires when the trunk is open.

I had one system where I took out the spare and built the amp in down underneath and put in a plywood floor (bolted to the frame of the car) so that the amp was totally un accessable to would be thievs worked great and was totally hidden. Now I have a different type of system but if you want to hide amps thats the best place
Wrong forum, try show and shine. Make sure you give amps AMPle room to breath. Lack of air leads to earlier death. Could use pegboard covered with trunkliner as a "false floor". Strong, yet breathable.
