Front undertray question

The front undertray is there for several reasons:
1. Aerodynamic aid - it helps keep the front end planted at speed, and reduces drag.
2. Protection - it protect the moving parts from rocks and large debris.
3. Cooling aid - it helps guide air through the intercooler/radiator, and brake ducts. Air is lazy. It'll go to the path of least resistance. The undertray encourages air to go to where you need it.
4. Economy stimulus - it keeps mechanics employed because nobody knows an easy way to take off those damn plastic screws!!!
