headlight adjustment quick question
I was adjusting my headlights up today and the passenger one I got adjusted easily. I was doing the driver side one and it wouldn't adjust. I was turning counter-clockwise per the how-to in the how-to section, but I would turn it CC and it would turn, but it was like a rachet effect. Like it would move a little bit and then "click" and then move and "click". The light didnt move up or down, it just stayed in the same position. I am sure I had it on the right gear part because it was identical to the passenger side one. Am I doing something wrong with the driver side one?
Sounds like you were stripping the little plastic gear that has to turn along with the big metal one. Only thing you can do now is to try and inch that little plastic one along while moving the big metal one. Also, reverse anything you've done now before you do that cuz you weren't adjusting all 3 lights.
