MR BOV owners, get in here.

Ok. I really like this BOV (dv if you want to get technical). I have one gripe, the near stalling issue in some stop and go situations. Today, i turned into a parking lot that i needed to do a U-turn in. It was very tight and i wound up doing a k-turn. My car stalled. Out of the 1 week ive had it. Ive had about 20 near stalls. It becomes very annoying. Has anyone got their MR tuned? Ill be getting a tune next week, so hopefully that will solve this problem.

Any input, post it up.

I'll let you all know how the tune goes and if it fixes this problem. Its a shame as this is a nice piece and i dont feel like spending 200+ for a tial or greddy.

This is true. I have only had one near stall the other night. I will not be tuned until Dec, but I don't think it would help that much

If there is a possibility of stalling, then I will stick with stock. Same reason I am sticking with stock cat. There doesn't seem to be one that will GUARANTEE no CEL.

I've noticed the same issue as the originator. It is really bad when the A/C is on or when slowing for a stop quickly.

Do you guys with no problems have mods or not? I have a lot of mods with a lot of air flowing - I am thinking that this has a lot to do with it.

I don't think there's anything wrong, just have to be a little more diligent when driving slowly. It's worth the trade-off for how well it holds boost.

My EVO has done the 'near-stall' 3 times since I got it- and it's stock. So my 'near-stalls' are not BOV related( unless, of course, the stock one is defective ). I'm going to put the MR BOV in( after I go get my fan controller fixed ) and see what happens.

i have the MR bov and have the same issues, but i had these issues when i was stock. you will have to have the idle screw on the throttle body adjusted. i still need to have mine readjusted. i had it adjusted with the stock bov and this problem was less frequent.

all the UK/JDM MR's have this stalling problem....it eases over time. I'm on nearly 4k miles, and it's virtually stopped.

Does the MR BOV make the release sound like some of the aftermarket BOV's or is it same as stock sound??

I've been having the same issue as blackevoVII. Just installed a couple weeks ago.
I notice that it idles like at 100rpms lower now than before? Spoke to a good tuner and
he recommended I turn the idle screw out (1) turn on the throttle body. I'd hate to put that
plastic POS back on. The bov spring is probably too tight and the MR has no adjustment like
other aftermarket ones.

I put the MR BOV on my car and it ran great. Last weekend I swapped out the stock down pipe & cat for a DC Sports 3" unit. Now I have the stalling issue. I noticed no change in idle when I installed the MR unit with the stock DP/cat.
