Just checked out the MR

Got back from the dealership an hour or two ago. My local dealer here in SoCal just took delivery of three MR's.......one white, and two grey. The grey ones were simply awesome looking......especially with the BBS rims. I wasnt so crazy about the color scheme of the white one. The shifter seems to sit a bit taller, and perhaps its because Im tall, but the factory gauge package on the MR seems useless.....I couldnt see a damn thing........I can't even imagine trying to watch the boost while driving...... The guy popped the hood for me....and obviously didnt know a thing about the car......he said "there's your turbo - while pointing to the fuel rail" and then asked me if I was familiar with the evo (he obviously didnt see me get out of my 04 parked about about 10 feet away.) He then told me that the MR had upgraded Brembos from my 04 gsr and I nodded. I dont know how some of these people expect to sell these cars when they know nothing about them. The Mr's were priced at 35 with no markup which was surprising.......there was also a regular 05 gsr with sun and sound for just over 34.........After I showed him my 04....he tried to get me to trade-up.....I told him I wouldnt even think about it until I got to drive the MR.....but he said theyre not allowing test drives until after a credit check so I took off.........It was awesome to finally see the MR in person though.......

Some salespeople just are really stupid. Don't forget though, mitsu dealers also sell regular cars so they probably know less about the cars than we do. I didn't need a credit check to test drive though, maybe cause it's because of the two tone submariner rolex on my wrist. YOu should try going to the lexus dealer, they are much more friendly and they let me test drive anything I wanted wearing shorts, t-shirt and slippers!

Wow that must be one hell of a watch you have. One time my wife and I (wearing slippahs and t-shirtz) were at Nordstroms (a somewhat class dept store) looking for a watch. We attempted to get the sales person attention but she was blowing us off (she was stocking items behind the counter and asked us to wait untill she was done). Then a well dressed middle age woman wearing her sunglasses (i hate people who wear sunglasses indoors) and gripping handfulls of shopping bags stepped in front of us and asked if there was a matching key chain for her wallet. The sales person dropped everything and gave her complete undivided attention for a f!@$'n key chain....lots of "percs" when you are roll'n

I think the other colors should have different color rims. That colors looks great on the grey and black is ok, but no other colors can pull it off.

Same thing happened to me awhile back. I went to a Honda dealer to buy my girlfriend a car and I rolled up in a Porsche 993 which was a current model at that time. Bunch of sales guys approached me and wanted to help. I think it was a big mistake to roll up in that car because they will think you have bunch of cash laying around and will try to rip you off big time. I have a Rolex Daytona and alot of sales people tend to look at my watch. Even if you wear slippers it dont mean anything because whats important is that they will see what you wear and what you drive. BTW whats wrong with them running a credit check? I never had people ask me that question

it takes points off your credit score each time you have it run. and it looks bad when you're having your credit run several times in a short period of time. so i wouldn't have mine run to drive a car - it's just needless points taken off.
