Thumbs down Car Transporters

Just to let everyone know of the very bad experience that I have received getting my EVO transported.

I emailed about 10 different transporters nationwide to get quotes on transporting my EVO from G&K to my house (Huntsville, AL). After considering all the quote, I decided on AAAT (All American Auto Transport,Inc), because this is who Adam (EI) was going to use for getting all his car delivered to their customers. I was told fri 11/8 that the car was ready. I hurried and faxed my contract to AAAT. They picked the car up tues 11/12. I was told that it would take 5-7 days to get the car by Karl (AAAT). I called back fri 11/15 to verify my order status and Karl was too busy to take my call. So, I spoke to Mike (AAAT) and he told me the car would be delivered Weds 11/20. Thats 8 days. And yes they deliver on weekends. I was fine with that. So, I called all my friends and my parents, who live in Miami, and told them the car will be here Weds! Well, I get a call from the trucking company, who is not AAAT, and was told the car will not be there till fri. WHAT! He said that there was no way he could have the car till then. So, I called AAAT and I get Karl. I start to explain that AAAT told the car would be here Weds and that I have alot of people coming in to see it. He goes off and says, "you'll just have to wait" and hangs up. Yep, hangs up. So, I call back. He hangs up again. So, I call back and ask to speak to the owner. He's not available, go fiqure. I spoke to Victoria and she said that she will give the message to the owner (yea, right). I know that he will never get the message, nor will he call me back. I even wrote on the contract that I would pay extra to get the car here quicker.

If anyone is thinking about using AAAT for transporting their vehicle, beware!! There customer service sucks, and thats what the pride themselves on.

Just what to let everyone know, just in case.

gvr4v,

I am so sorry to hear about your bad experience, this really sucks. I could've given u the name of another transport company that I heard was very reliable (heard that from fellow M Coupe owners on my other board).
At least TRY and look at the bright side, your evo will be there by the end of the week It is worth the wait, trust me !!!! I know, "STILL WAITING". Take the day off on friday, and drive

Makes me very happy to hear that they're legal.

Not so happy about the bad transporting experience though.

I swear, grvr4, I think you're having the worst experience of anyone with this car. I hope it's all you were expecting and more. In a year maybe you won't even be thinking about what a PITA it was to get it to your driveway.

I dont think you guys know how assuring this news is to me, and the fact that a transporter can say it can deliver a car in under 10 days, omg!!! thats more and more good news, but again, sorry about your bad coincidences. This just makes me think that truck drivers are all grumpy and are like harley drivers lol. I'm hoping it all turns out ok for you and your car. Im expecting delivery to the US in early Dec, lets hope there arent any troubles w/ that! Ill keep you guys in touch. WE WANTS PICS!!!

Thwack,

Try Intercity Lines. I heard they are EXCELLENT, but a little pricey. You get what you pay for obviously.

Good luck

I am sure he would have if he had known in advance of the hassle that he would go through. I was hoping he was driving it back so he could have stopped in Houston so I could see it. I would have let him stay at my place as long as he needed

Wel,,, Its kinda of hard to change transport companies after they have already picked your car up. So Celm, I was stuck using them. I can say that the compant that did the actual transporting, were very nice to deal with. It even came in a covered trailer Easy rider, I would have flow out there, but I could not get off work. If I knew it was going to take 12 days to get it, I would have! and said screw work.
It would have been one hell of a road trip.

Here are some pics of when it arrived. http://www.victorbrant.com/evo/ enjoy
