IF DEMAND FOR GOODs ("EVO MR ") RISES SO DOES ITS VALUE AND PRICES. Lets be honest now if you had a buisness and you kno there is a demand for your product, your not going to go dirt cheap if people really wanted it, you would try to dish it out for the most money you can, and if that fails you lower it. Same thing with cars there is a markup for couple of months if no one baits after awhile the markup goes away cuase the demand starts to fall and so does the value in the sellers and buyers mind
Exactly! Or look at it another way Denali's list for 45k+. BUT it has rebates up to7-8k. So is that car a 45k car or a 37k car?? Regardless of the sticker people are going to pay what they feel the vehicle is worth. Is anyone paying sticker for the new Lotus? At least there are a number of dealers who are selling at MSRP. The majority won't for sometime, and don't need to to sell their MR's at a nice rate.

Just picked up my 05 MR in San Diego

Hi all,

I just picked up my Evolution MR yesterday from Union mitsubishi in Los Angeles. Thanks to Robert from Santa Monica Mitsubishi. I still own my 03 Evolution, let me tell you the biggest differance is the ride comfort, while still out handel the 03. I love the 6th gear. One other major differance is how qiuck boost builds-up. I would say it is almost as instant as it could get.

Good job

I'll post pictures soon.

do you think that the difference in price is justified? or do you think that with the dollar difference in upgrades the regular evo is better?

I think the difference in price can be justified only if you compare the 05 GSR to the MR the +$5k is worth it, atleast for me.

Carpel tunnel effect!
72 hrs since picking up my red MR for MSRP, Hands are tingling from gripping the momo too tight. Absolutely, outrageous. Very difficult to run below the 5K rpm for long, its like a drug, giddy after a few minutes I find it difficult to resist. So I try throwing it into turns with acceleration, eyes go weird but awesome. I'll go for a drive at 2am when general population in my town are asleep as are the 2on duty deputies I let a very good friend drive her - owner of Healey Werks autorestoration (he has driven many high end performers). He cannot believe the power/performance of the car compared to his Ferrari's, tricked out Jaguars ultralights, and Lambo's - he wants one. On the highway, I barley touch the throttle to cruise at 60, the car beckons for more. Ahh! the turbo boost/wine - love it, want more of it! Step on the gas and hold on, try to stay relaxed, smile. I originally had some regret with opting for red not graphite, but after seeing her in 3-D, I'm very happy. I hope it remains after seeing a graphite in real world.

(Note from wife - I am not very happy with the new mistress!! I am getting alot less action and the least she could do for me was have a few more amenities for when I have to join my husband for a ride. By the way - a barf bag might help.)

Thats sweet. Did you have to ask someone to reverse the instalation of the gauges and the radio or did it come that way. If you look at the Mitsu site MR picks they are reversed, but the way you got them actually makes them more readable. NICE

that's not the way it came... the dealership swapped em for me (put the useless radio down low)... notice even the gauge order has been changed to put the boost gauge in the middle
