Never wash... possible exaggeration.... It's probably been washed 7-8 times since I got it in May... 6 months and 25k miles.... But my point was that it is always dirty... Even right after taking it though a car wash...

Got one small ding from the neighbor after 15 months of ownership. I had the PDR fixed it within a week and they had to drilled a hole in my door to reach it.

a girl burned my interior driver side door panel with a ciggarete. She was carless, while roughhousing. it's in the edge of the cloth, so it's not really noticable. My first exterior ding was last weekend driving on the highway, and someguy didn't tie the wood down on his truck, so during stop and go traffic (he was behind me) he stopped too hard, and a 7 or 8 foot 2x4 came down on the wing. bounced a few times, and suprisingly, left very little damage. Buffed it when I got home, and isn't too noticable. Noticed three chips on the drivers side door skirt the other day, got some touch up paint from the dealer. Looks even more noticable with the paint then it does just left alone. Only have abour 4,000mi on her, and I might just spend rediculous amounts of money just to patch her up.

[QUOTE=wingnut]Went to the grocery store tonight and noticed someone nailed me in the rear passenger door.

I had my first dent similar like his. unoticable, you can only see it if you take a closer look. It still sucks though.

I noticed a rock chip on the right quarter panel paint. I was so sad. I only had the car 1 week. I used Mitsu touch up paint and blocked out the memory.

LOl my first dent was funny. I was playing with my soon to be stepson who is 4. Unfortunatley his mother and I have parted since this happened. But anyway I was kicking a ball with him about 50 ft. from my car, it was a rubber beach ball. Well i went to kill it and my DOC Martin flew off my foot went sailing through the air, and smacked down on the hood . Now if any of you have these shoes you will know they weigh about 2 pds. each. needless to say it dented the hood right up near the windshield on the passenger side. I pulled alot of it out, going CF anyways. Kinda humerous

I think a big chunk of my "new car syndrome" has worn off after about half a year of owning my EVO. While I still get annoyed by small scratches and door dings, I no longer feel like everything on my car has to be perfect. It can't be on a street driven car. I still park far away from everyone if possible and take every precaution to keep my car as new as possible for as long as possible.

I just put in a post about mine (checking on input before I start working on my front bumper), but mine was this steroid-infested, overgrown, killer jackrabbit. Ran out in front of me when I was doing about 70 at night...messed up my bumper a bit. I'm still at a loss as to how they get so big...

My first scratch was caused by the guys fixing my window tint @ Drive-in Auto Sound in CO Springs (never go to them for anything. They suck, don't know what they're doing, and do not treat your vehicle with respect).Took my car back to cause my window tint was installed with dirt under the film on all the windows. They sent me to the place that did it for the. Drive-in Auto Sound. Took them two days just to attempt to fix it. On day two as i was driving it home I was inspecting the job they did, realized the missed a lot of spots (especially the corners) and it started to peel and bubble on the way home. Didn't have time to deal with it yet.
Next day, it was snowing. I turned on my rear wiper, but for some reason it wasn't working. Went back to check it to discover 1. it was on backwards and 2. it had scraped DEEP and got stuck on my trunk. My boss let me leave early that day to yell at them, and yell I did.

This was back in March.
