I went to yesterday to see if I could get in a 05 GSR or MR. I was told by the dealer that was only making 1000 evos in 05. Anyone know if there is any truth to this or is this just another retarded dealer talking spit

 

Did he specify the 05 MR? From what’s been circulation around the boards, Mitsubishi is making 1000 MR. I have not seen any figures for the RS or the GSR.

 

1000 MR's...that's it. RS and GSR Production is pretty much standard from what I know of

 

He didn't specify. 1,000 MRs I belive that. I'm just trying to get into a 05 GSR. I want ACD. I could care less about a 6th gear.

 

Supposely, the 5 gear transimission is stronger than the 6 gears. However, I wouldn't mind having a 6th just to cruise on the freeway and stuff. I get a little annoyed when driving to vegas with a constant 4000rpms, gets annoying after a while. but tahts just my personal opionion

 

I thought the GSR was made to meet demand; with factory capacity being about 7500/yr.

EDIT: Also, i believe the RS has a run of 700 for both 04 and 05.

That's what I thought too. there is a new eclipse coming out near the end of the 05 model year. Redesigned body, 245hp 3.8L V6 and possable AWD. That is why (I was told) that the 05 evo are going to be limited production.

 

I wonder how many '04's were made ?
