I am looking for a little bit of help!

I have a 2001 Evo VII and I have spotted a carbon fibre hood for sale on the net that i fancy. However the hood has an integrated grill, where my standard 7 does not. The vendor says that it is a US spec hood, and I was just wondering if anyone had pics of a US spec car with an integrated hood/grill.

The reason for this is i want to compare the shape as I plan to just cut off the section for the grill to leave me with just a bonnet on its own.

what do you mean "integrated grill"

 

Its hard to explain.

Basically the bonnet comes down to fill the hole between the two headlights.

for example the sandard bonnet on my car follows the line of the top of the headlights, while this one goes down the inside edge of the headlights and fills up the space that is usually just meshed with the Mitsi badge.

Pls. provide the link for the hood.

 

The US evo 8 does not have an integrated grill. It is just a hood. The Mitsu symbol and the grill are all the upper part of the front bumper. The hood is simply a hood (with the vent in it).

 

yeah i know the 8 hood is like that, just wanted to make sure that there were no slight differences. I had a feeling the company was just making it up!

That bonnet (in your link) is made for the US spec Lancer...NOT EVO. It is designed to make the US Spec Lancer LOOK LIKE an EVO VII. It will NOT fit your car.

Thanks what I suspected. We dont really get standard lancer's over here so wasnt too sure.

 

BTW, I am coming to Scotland in March '05...I'll be the dork trying his best to "not look like a tourist" but will probably fail miserably.
