My MR is fine. Very quiet versus the 04 GSR.

The 6 speed certainly has a lower hp capacity than the 5 speed. This has been told to me outright from those who should know. However, my Japanese is poor and could have got my split infinitives wrong j/k

FWIW, on our 25Hr endurance race MR, we're taking out the 6speed and the active center diff set-up in favor of a standard 03-04 drivetrain. Again, these steps are only to maximize our chances at finishing a 25Hr long race. I don't think anyone who plans on running less than 450bhp needs to worry about the durability of either transmission under normal driving conditions.
