The 6 speed certainly has a lower hp capacity than the 5 speed. This has been told to me outright from those who should know. However, my Japanese is poor and could have got my split infinitives wrong

FWIW, on our 25Hr endurance race MR, we're taking out the 6speed and the active center diff set-up in favor of a standard 03-04 drivetrain. Again, these steps are only to maximize our chances at finishing a 25Hr long race. I don't think anyone who plans on running less than 450bhp needs to worry about the durability of either transmission under normal driving conditions.
