Sometimes I jog around HQ and often I notice some cool things there. I saw the yellow EVO7 with dealer plate that went to the autoshows and tracks, just sitting there (some of you might remember seeing the pic I posted). Also saw the Outlander way before it was released.

So I've been trying to get a glimpse of the Evo 8 (considering they're going for sale in a few months some of them SHOULD be at least finished and be in MMSA HQ for some purpose). Well this is what I found yesterday:

I thought they would be done crashing and studying the Evo7. Why still have a LHD Evo7?

The low spoiler comes from the GT-A automatic version. Maybe it will be offered as an option or the high spoiler as an option.
The black door handles indicate that the car is an RS version.

That's a unique Evo VII you found there. An RS with a GT-A spoiler What kind of seats are those?

I really didn't pay attention to the seats since I was driving around SO carefully The white Evo7 is right in front of a specific staff parking area. There's a red 99 3000GT VR4 (with the high spoiler) and a silver LHD EVO6 (I took pics of that one before already). That area usually has many people standing around and talking so I try not to stop my car in case they notice me.

Pretty sure the seats are Recaro seats. I should go back and check sometime.

I can tell that's the GT-A small spoiler, but it's clearly not a GT-A (hood scoops, no clear headlights, no Altezza taillights). It should be a RS (black mirrors, black door handles) but do RS come in LHD? This white one is LHD. I thought LHD EVO7s are only made in RS-II. However RS-IIs have body-colored mirrors and handles right? And the rims are GSR rims! What's going on?

I think it's just RS-II with GT-A spoiler, WITH black mirrors and handles . I'll try to go back there tomorrow if I have time to see if it's parked somewhere where I can take more pics of.

But it's like my 46th trip there for the past 6 months hope I don't get arrested (well it never said that it's a restricted area anyways)

Man, that's a weird combo. If you ever run into while jogging sneak up and see what the interior is like and see if you notice anything.

hey guys, nevermind. After looking at another pic I took, I noticed that it's got REGULAR SEATS. And judging from the reflection, seems like its LEATHER SEATS!!!!!

Well I said so because it's definitely not the 1-piece Recaro seats that The manual EVO7s get. It COULD be the 2-piece Recaro seat for the GT-A where the headrest is removeable (from the pic) but it could be just any seats.

So I'll see if I can check it out again, maybe find out if it's a disguised GT-A

 

They make LHD RS Evo7 for rallying.
In fact, the RS cars have regular seats (non-Recaro) like the ones in the picture.

 

You jog in a car?

Neat finds. Wish I had something fun like that nearby. I'd take up running! Hell, I'd be a health nut!

No I do not jog in my car

I jog around the HQ parking lot. There are some tennis courts in the back (don't know why there are tennis courts in the middle of a parking lot) but it's a nice chain of corporate HQs. I think Fuji Films and Mitsubishi Lasers HQ are nearby also.

Anyways I often drive around in there, and since my car's exhaust is pretty loud, alot of the people outside the offices would look at me. It gets weird when they see me many times a week, and I don't even work there (they can tell I'm not an employee there. Which Mitsu employee wears TRD T-shirts? ) So sometimes I park my car in the back and jog around. If I see something interesting I take snaps.

So no I don't jog in my car. in fact the only reason I jog there is to get some upclose pics like the EVO6.

 

WOW this is cool as hell!!! I wish I lived near this place.. I'd pitch a tent and take up residence in this parking lot. Also I find it incredible that there is not more security not for purposed of hiding their secrect projects, but because now days almost every large corporation resricts access to their grounds including parking lots, and grant access to only permitted personel and vehicles. Can you post more pictures, I really enjoyed the ones you have posted!

The reason I mentioned it was cuz 3 out of the 4 pictures were taken from a car. Only messin' around anyway. Honestly, I'm suprised about the lax security as well. I can't say I'm unhappy about it though.
