So what? Are you saying that I can go down to my local Mitsu. dealer and they will know of this car and I can get on a list? Is it time to do that? Or will they give me the "I don't know anything" lecture and I'll have to start pulling out toenails?

They should know if it's coming....If they don't, then they should be ashamed to call themselves a Mitsubishi dealer.

I highly reccomend putting yourself on the list ASAP. I was 5th on the list here in MN and I put my name down close to a month ago.

If they give you an "I don't know anything" lecture....walk out the door

Shop around though....don't just put yer name down on the list at the first Mitsubishi dealer you go to. Some dealers will try to sell it to you for over MSRP and require a $1000+ deposit. Others will sell it to you for at MSRP and require a $500 deposit....which is what I got mine for.

Good Luck!!

First Post!!! Recent Subaru convert.

The person that posted before, $28,800??? I was really hoping for Motortrend's quote of $25k (but I guess I'm dreaming).

So with these deposits, if you don't buy from them, you basically lose your deposit huh? I read about people who placed deposits at more than one dealership. I should start visiting some dealerships. Anyone have any Mitsubishi dealerships in the tri-state area and in Pittsburgh to recommend?

Twin-turbo??? Leather??? Hehehe... I'd welcome the tt, but leather? Weird in a rally based car. Maybe on the regular Lancers... but I do pray for that six-speed. Everyone has a six-speed now days! RSX, Celica, the STi will...

Are there any wagon versions? I don't think I've seen wagon versions of even the regular Lancer. For some weird reason, I like wagons =D.

Welcome!

Nice to have ya here!

Some places are actually doing refundable deposits. Me being the idiot that I am....I forgot to ask if mine was refundable or not. I was more in shock at the fact that I was throwin down $500 on a car that wasn't going to be here for another 7-11 months

As far as the leather goes....the only reason I can think of as to why they'd be putting that in there and not the Recaros is 'cause Americans tend to be a bit wider than Asians. Not to mention Americans tend to go more for comfort. I personally don't like leather. I like cloth....ya don't slip around on it, not to mention it's easy to mantain.

Maybe they'll have leather Recaros But really, leather does not belong on this car.

As for a wagon, check this link out. It's not a Lancer Evolution but it is a Lancer Wagon and it's pretty sweet.

Welp, I'm on the list! They're not taking deposits yet. I actually had to get them to start to make a list. As soon as they start taking deposits, I've got my salesman to contact me and let me know.

From what he said, it will be 276hp. I didn't ask about AYC or all the other goodies. But what he said jives with everything that I've seen online so far.

Hey lancerzevo, the Diamante VRX is going to have more h.p. due to valve timing, the suspension will be more sporting, and it will have a more aggressive look to it. From the pics. that i have looked at it looks alot better.

It will be here around Feb. go to mitsubishi's austrelea (cant spell it) web site and look at the mitsubishi magna, over there it's called the Magna VRX, The U.S. spec looks the same. Take a look. I work for Schaumburg Mitsubishi, and as far as the Evo our dealer has no paperwork on it just yet but like i said before each dealer will only get a few and i know my boss is expecting to sell them between $5000 to even $10,000 over sticker to the stupid custemers wanting to be the first few. Just like the WRX when it first came out. The lancer wagen will be here soon as well also the airtrek built off the lancer platform. The next generation neon will also be built off the lancer.
