Why is Evolution Imports now advertising these exact stats, and that they are going to be getting the Evo VIII... Visit their site to see what I mean... Is this a sign that we are in fact getting a dilluted version??

No, it's just a sign that EI intends on importing the Evo VIII.

Well if the US and Euro/JDM are differents, I think at that time importing one and legalizing it should be really really easy. Good thing most people won't do it cause they will be like: " why are u paying more for an imported one when u can get the same car at a dealership for less?". I just think it will make sense for some to do that if they wanted whatever would have been taken away from the US version.

it says the gsr w/ the 6MT gearbox costs 3,300,000 JPY (est.) which = $26,945.43

the rs w/ the 5MT gearbox costs 2,800,000 JPY (est.) which = $22,862.78

these are really close to US MSRP est!

The front is starting to grow on me, I don't think it's THAT BAD anymore, so oh well, it's new trademark thing that's going on all the cars right?

People in Japan ALWAYS pay significantly less for their cars then WE do for their cars. Many of their new cars actually being sold in Japan, when converted to US dollars, are sold 25%+ less then we generally pay for the same cars.

I personally think those pictures really managed to make the hood stand out like a sore thumb. The bumper/air dam/grill I've gotten used to but this picture actually makes me hate the hood for the first time ever. Hopefully it's just those photos or the color of the car.

I agree, I liked the look of the 2-piece vent a LOT better than the one-piece. All the pictures I've seen the hood on the VIII has seemed somehow distorted, too. I can't really place what it is, it's just a wierd feeling I get looking at it.
