easiest/cheapest/safest way is to drive up a ramp... lift isnt exactly the safest but its doable too.... lift is the best if ur rich or have access to one

I got a set of Rhino Ramps for just that purpose. I used to jack up the passenger side and use a jackstand, but this is much easier. Simply drive up, do your work, then back down. Easy and cheap (under $30).

Rhino ramps for me too. FYI, they sell a passenger car rated ramps for only $20.

Just a word of warning about Rhino Ramps... They won't fit under a lowered EVO. Mine is lowered with the Tanabe GF210's, and the ramps weren't even close to fitting under the front bumper. I had to make my own ramps out of 2X10's.

I do it all the time. Just drink a couple of 40's and do some dougnuts in front of the cop station.

I use Rhino ramps on my oil changes.

i use a cheapo hydrolic jack and jack stands. for the front i place the jack at the center crossmemeber under the engine, then place the stands on each side behind the front wheels where you would normally use the cheapo jack for changing tires. for the rear, i jack up at the rear diff then place the stands right in front of the rear wheels on each side where you also would use the cheapo jack to jack up the car. when i say cheapo jack i mean the one that comes with the car also note, the front center spot where i jack the front up is not quite center, its a little more on the drivers side. but center enough to get it high enough to place the jackstands where they need to go.
