sup guys tonight will be my frist time at the track with my evo. i need tips and tricks on luanching my evo. triying to get my best 1/4 mile time. ill be gonig to moroso in west plam, fl with a few freinds and i would hate to have my freinds type r beat me.

You need a Twin Plate Clutch for 7k RPM launching.Hope it you will got a 12 sec results.Shift at 7.5k RPM.

 

last week was my first time...i pu$$y footed the launch the first time(rolled out) and ran 14.5......i dropped clutch at 5500 the second run and ran 13.95.....

DO NOT WATCH THE TREEE...you will get caught sleepin at the lights !!!! get a count down and just GOOO......

i ran mine bone stock.

Bring revs around 6k, slip clutch until fully engaged, shift at redline. Easy as that.

YOu can achieve the same or faster 60' times by launching at 4500 and slipping the clutch quickly as you can at 6K+. I get 1.70 launching at 4500. Don't break your car by launching at high RPMs.

 

well i finally went to the track got there really late and only got to run two times
1st run was 1/4 13.8 rt .937 60 1.869
2nd run 1/4 13.5 flat rt .686 60 1.999
mind you this was my frist time ever to the track and frist time ever lanching my evo
(by the way i found out i have a pretty big boost leak)
i figure with some more pratice and some bc tuneing ill be able to run 13 flat if not high 12's

 

What was the trap speeds?
