If you get any of the above, make sure you set some money aside for a new clutch.

Sorry. I forgot to mention fuel pump and injectors.

But, fuel rail = waste of money
EBC = waste of money (any decent ems will control that)
intake manifold = not a complete waste of money, but inefficient for the cash, and they never fit quite right
Turbo timer = waste of money
RS intake = waste of money.

Be smart with your cash

EMS with removing MAF near 2200.00 tune
Turbo kit by RnR 2400.00
fuel pump and injectors 720cc 480.00
FMIC BR or Greddy 700.00
Turbo back 900.00
cams like tomei or HKS 500.00-700.00
or you can do mayor things like BJ's stage 5++ head work 1900.00
or BR stage III 1600.00
and with EMS and turbo kit should put you around your goal.
you can always upgrade the rest one at a time since the cost is way less.

2.3L (or is it 2.4L?) stroker kit, HKS carbon fiber ti turboback, ultimate racing cold-air intake kit, xede piggy-back ECU,

i'd get those for sure - then, with any money left over:

intercooler w/bigger piping, cam gears, fuel pump, fuel injectors w/fuel rail, turbo timer.

I would invest half of that money and stick the other half on savings.

You could make 3 times that money in 6 month period and then you could do some serious modding on your car.

Best upgrade to your Evo is to upgrade the driver. Set aside a few hundred or thousand bucks to do some real HPDE/High Performance Driving Schools.

Very few Evo drivers have the skills necessary to control the Evo at the limit. I doubt you've surpassed the Evo's potential!

Last summer, I was at a trackday with a major chapter of the BMW CCA. There were 2 totally tricked out Evos (300+whp, coilovers, etc). These cars were set up by a well known tuning shop. These guys were slow. I ran circles around them in my totally stock Evo.

Good advice but where the heck are you getting a 600% return in 6 months? (This is based on getting 3 times the amount with only half invested.) I'm assuming this is through legal means of course...
