Purple HID?? Help??

Hey guys,

On the way home tonight I noticed one of my lights seemed to reflect as "purple"... I figured it had to do with the car in front of me but I was wrong. The whole way home my side of the car was giving off purple light. Got home and looked at the car and sure enough the driverside headlamp is givng out purple light... what could be happening with my headlamp? Bad bulb? HID problem? This is the first car with factory HID's I've owned so I dont know the symptoms... here are some pics so you can see. Any help appreciated.

uhhh for some reason, it looks to me like you have one HID and one regular bulb... The HID's on my evo give off a purple hue. Mine look similiar to your left (passenger side) headlight in your first picture.

That wouldnt be possible though would it? To put a regular bulb in an HID core? The lights both matched the passenger side before (blueish color).... the passengerside looks completly purple too (more than the picture makes it look like)

A regular bulb would never work with an HID system so thats obviously not the problem, I was more of making a joke. Honestly, I dont have any idea what would cause that problem.

Did you replace one of the bulbs recently? If you did it takes a while for the new one to "break in" and the colors will be different.
