I hate stupid drivers and I hate the excuses they use.

About 2 months ago, I had to swerve off an interstate to avoid an asshat driver. It was either take the ditch or cause a multi car pile-up on an interstate during rush hour traffic. There was no way I was going to do that. I took the ditch. The other car drove away. My Evo was totaled and insurance called it my fault. I bit the bullet on it and worked myself into a very good deal on an Evo RS. I had always wanted the RS over the GSR, and was a bit upset when they came out with them a year after I had bought the GSR. I had contemplated trading mine in for an RS, but I never could talk a dealership into seeing eye to eye with me.

Moral of the story: Things will work out for you in the end....and if they don't, then take matters into your own hands. Be sure to take pictures of the punk's mutilated face after you curb stomp him for being a tool. Wait, that might not be the best advice in the world....Of course, nobody said this world was perfect, either.

Oh, I didn't have gap insurance. I had just put down enough on my 1st Evo that when it was totaled, I still came out around $1700 ahead AFTER my $500 deduct. The car was valued at over $27,000 at the time of the wreck and I owed around $24,000 at that time. I try not to buy a car that will depreciate in value so much when I drive it off the lot that it will be worth less than I owe. Oh well, that's O/T.

Hopefully you will get something good out of all this.

Dont feel bad, I got sideswiped by a ricer in an Eclipse. Neons, angeleye headlights, the whole nine yards. He was about three cars behind me and traffic opened up, so he thought he'd show off by blowing past me at about 70 around a left hand curve. He was in the right lane, bounced off the curb, and into my car. Not too bad for damages for me, but it still sucked.

I've noticed that these new kids freshly out of Driver's Ed think its cool to drive without reading signs and clearing roads before crossing or something. Just the other day, I almost got hit by 2 high schoolers who drove out of intersections without even looking at oncoming traffic....and one of them was a blind intersection--he just drove like it was a one lane road that curved.

I like the fact that the RS doesn't have ABS...

Now when people do this type of thing, I can slide the wheels for a split second and then pump them. the schreeching Advan's are quite loud and tend to get people's attention in a hurry. This action is usually followed by the "one-finger salute" once eye contact is made.

look on the good side it's just your bumper, At least your not telling us your IC and hood were damaged. Or that it was a hit and run.
