I just got hit!!!

Some 18 year old kid driving like an *** pulled right out in front of me turning left. The brembos almost got me stopped, but almost doesn't count . I did drop from 35ish to about 5ish in about 10 feet though. but I still hit him . I don't think the damage is that bad scratches and such, but he hit my license bracket which pulled my bumper down. Now there is a gap between the hood and the bumper and the bumper and the head light.

Good news is I don't think anything else was harmed but the bumper. Bad news is the bumper will have to be repainted. The only good that will come from this is that I had some rock chips that will get fixed in the process. The kid had insurance, which is good.

I got out of my car and was very pissed, I also had on a state trooper shirt. So I think he knew that any lies he was congering up would not fly. He started trying to tell me this and that, but I told him that is not how it works.

In the end all will be well but its just a pain, no worries though the sanomobile will drive again. With a freshly painted bumper and a new license bracket.

He just gave you an excuse to put on a nice front end, like Gialla.

Yeah that sucks... I always think to my self if I ever get into a crash I hope it is not the front end... doesn't take much to cause a mess...

If I have to replace the bumper, which I doubt, I will think of an aftermarket alternative. I will say one thing though, that license bracket is on there hella good. good enough to about rip my bumper off.

Soon as we hit I was just hoping it did not break a headlight unit, or dent the hood, or tear up th IC. Front end damege on these cars could be a very bad thing, good thing mine was pretty light.

if only the bumper is damaged than it's all good but it would be really nasty if the frame was damaged

I was going about 5mph, and he the same maybe a little faster. It was a glancing blow, maybe I will take a pic. You all would laugh because its not that bad. But it happend to my baby, If I had crashed in my xb it would have been no big deal. this just felt like a kick in the nuts.

I had $10,300 in damage on my Evo that was nothing but front/side damage...no frame or suspension damage, all cosmetic. The parts are very pricey

I have worked accidents where people hit ditches and dukes of hazzard through the air and still don't bend the frame. My accident was purly cosmetic.

i know exactly how you feel. i got rear ended about a month ago, and i saw him coming. he hit me going about 35.. i have a black 04 ralliart.. so now, as a result, i have the accolade gt2 kit on my car, ha! good things will come, just be patient, and don't settle for a penny less than the best body shop in towns quote.
