trade in value for 03 evo
The dealership here offered me only 22500 for my car as a trade in value for my 03 evo (21K miles on it) to get into an MR.
i think i will be keeping my car!!!
so for 03 evo owners who traded in their car for an MR, how much was the value of your car?

They offered me 21. But thats cause they didn't have the MR at the dealer yet. The dude owns a DSM so he is pretty cool with me now that he got to know me. I am going back tomorrow to talk numbers. But I would take about 21 as is cause my TC is gone I believe. I will keep you posted.
I really like the rawness of the 03 compared to the MR. The MR is still great to drive (put a smile on my face) but when I jumped back in my 03, I felt like a little F1 driver again
lol
I do love the clutch feeling of the MR....it is really awsome! A far as performance, people are forgetting that the TD05-9.5t is really a robust turbocharger. We can switch housings and wheels thus tailoring boost characteristics to our needs.
Four items stick out when I think MR....they are the BBS wheels, Bilstein shocks and the tranny and ACD (avail for all 05's); two of which we can transfer to 03,04's and such.
I got to fool with the ACD under hard driving and their was a noticable difference between the tarmac and snow settings (cool ...another button to fool with lol) I also the car roll more than the 03 (very interesting because it held up just as good in the turns as the 03!)
Overall I can and cant justify a trade-in. Maybe a first buy at or a little above cost would be reasonable. Just remember, their is allways something nicer around the corner
imagine a 4g63T Cobalt w/ AWD lol

Don't tell me they even it out by the huge mark-up
i just went to the dealership today for that stupid sticker recall....they said it was transfer case recall to get me in there.....anyways i took the mr for a spin and they offered me 28000 for my evo for an mr and 25000 for an 05 but then again i've only 1905 miles on my 03

I have a feeling tons of people sill start complaining and saling by Spring next year.
