Who thinks this

Did anyone when they first got into and evolution and drove it around thought it was slow. I am not knocking the car. When i had my s4 the evolution was slower but also my S4 had alot of work done. Now that i have a zo6, it seems the evolution never gets boost. Maybe i am just used to power non-stop starting at 2k rpms. Anyone else feel this when they test drove it. I am in love with the outside but performance just does not even do it a little for me. It seems you got to do atleast intake, BOV, super afc, front mount, and exhaust to make it throw you in the seat. And even then still does not feel real fast, just quicker. SHould i sell my 2002 zo6 corvette 381 rwhp untuned for an Evolution. Anyone have an opinion. I love the appearance though, they look sick on the road. Just cannot win. Love the vette's power but not crazy about the outside. Contemplating getting evolution or sti and dump like 8k or just dump 5k on the vette and run mid 10's all day. Evolution is all year round car, thats the benefit.

The engine is almost 3 times smaller. What do you expect? I'd keep the Vette and wait a year or two and upgrade to a new Z06 or wait for late 06 early 07 when the new Infiniti GT-R hits with it's twin turbos and AWD.

Personally, I am waiting a couple years and going with the new Z06. Honestly, I can't wait.

Actually when I first drove my Evo, I thought it was pretty damn quick. If anything it feels slower as you own it because you get use to it. That's when the mods come in to play.

Like I said before ride in one or convince someone who has one to let you drive it. Get in one that has not been beaten to death on the sales floor and numerouse test drives. A Z06 is a great car if I did not need the extra seats and could afford the insurance one would be in my Garage but hell for 2.o liters the Evo is not only the highest horspower 2ltr ever produced but it screams for a little motor. And for a little cash can run mid to low 11's on stock turbo.

Like I mentioned in your last thread.......

I traded a 98 cobra for the evo and i have to admit the first time i test drove the evo i wasnt impressed.....I wasnt allowed to take the rmp over 3000. Only After I made my purchase and some spiritted driving was when i realized that my trade was the best thing i did. I was spoilled by the amount of torque v8's offer at the blip of a throttle...but was amazed by the agility of the evo.....and absolutely thrilled when at full boost.

If your looking for gobs of torque at the bottom end and doing burn outs and donuts....the evo is'nt for you! but if you want a sedan that can handle and outperform most sport coupes found on everyday streets.....an evo or even a sti is a way to go. When Modded its an entirely dfferent beast

Brian I have been a Vette owner since 1968. You are comparing a nearly 5 liter sports car to a two liter four door sedan. Since I feel strongly that you are aware of this, the real question is why are you on this site.

"yes, what is the real question" as he adjusts his bi-focals and begins to focus on the mark... hmmmm?

I have both cars (Z06 & Evo) and the Vette just sits in the garage.
