BUSCHUR Ball bearing turbo kit information

Hi all,

Just wanted to let everyone know who is interested in the Buschur Racing turbo kits, what has been going on with their big ball bearing turbo kit. With some preliminary testing and some minor changes such as using an external wastegate and a different type of back housing, we have seen some outstanding results. There are still some changes to be made as we move foward with testing, but overall for these beginning stages of testing, we are very excited about the kit.

Whenever we find useful information about someones' product that is worth while mentioning and might be useful to other members on the board, we like to let you guys know about it. It's the least we can do since we are in the business and do this type of thing day in and day out, even though it is not our own product we feel you should know reguardless.

I will attach a dyno sheet to show how smooth the horsepower is. The power comes on clean and linear. 602 at the wheels is a very nice number for a complete bolt on kit where the fittment is like stock. As I've stated before we are in the primary stages of this kit, I can't wait to get all the testing done. I have a good feeling we will be close to the 700 wheel horsepower mark after everything is said and done.

Take care,
Dan @ Pruven Performance

Thanks, I do have the plots but our printer just went down, so I will try to get them up shortly after we fix our printer. Yes we were on C-16 at a little over 30 psi. As I said before, quite impressive for a bolt on kit with perfect fittment.

WOW! For those of you out there who arn't good at converting MPH to RPM that car on a third gear pull is making peak power from 6,500 RPM all the way up to 8000 or so! GuessI should say power plateau since there isn't really a peak huh?

Dan, why the switch to external, and what do you meen by "back housing" Are you saying you used a different exhaust side turbo housing, or a different O2 sensor housing?

For some reason I suspect it is an external gate mounted on the O2 housing and this is what you are talking about.... do I win a prize?

We are just testing the max horsepower and are not really concerned with spool up at this point so we started the run very late in the rpm band. The graph starts around 4500 RPM and ends at 8600 RPM. It does kind of plateau now that you mention it.

Yes, we used a different exhaust side housing on the turbo along with a different o2 housing. Actually, the wastegate was mounted on the manifold just for time sake, but mounting it on the o2 housing would probably be a better choice. As mentioned before, we are still in the begining stages of getting this kit to rock and roll. I believe we are starting with a platform that can't be beat on many different levels.
