My new EVO MR
Well, I did it! I signed the papers tonight. I'll get the car tomorrow or Wednesday...... I'm taking my trade-in EVO 8 after I remove some of the mods. 3" turbo back exhaust, Greddy SPRL fmic anyone??
....... I think this one will remain mostly unmodified..... I'll take to Dyno4mance to get a baseline. Will post results soon

Hey, I did test drive it... It's really sweet! The suspension is hell better. The car feels quicker and faster than my EVO did stock. The ACD deal is pretty cool too. The gauges are cheesy, but what the hell ... The shifter is unbelievably smooth. The salesman said they teflon coated all the cables. The shift knob is very nice, feels great! I can't wait to get it out of the show room....
A better picture maybe?

... My EVO that I'm trading in is definitely quicker and faster in a straight line (300 whp on DD dyno), but the truth is that I much rather have the stock driveability and comfort of the MR
not to mention a new motor that doesn't have blowby cause boost solutions fugged it up. i give you 2 weeks before you get power hungry again. i bought the evo from a 500whp turbo car, i was gonna like the stock driveability and comfort...that ish went out the window by week 2.
what kinda mods you lookin to sell?

Whats going on ?????
You have been on this forum forever lol.. Glad to see you went with am MR. I traded my 2003 in too.. If I were you I would just transfer all of the stuff you had on your 2003 EVO VIII. Pretty much everything fit onto my 2005 MR.
Good luck with the new ride...
Derek
P.S. thanks for all of the Evo info in the past

Second, I'd taked with a salesman and he was extremely persistent and finally, when I went to talk with Rick Case
, they offered me $22.5K for my car sight unseen
. Anyway, I made them an offer of $13K plus my car drive out price and they accepted. I negotiated some time to remove my mods from the car and they agreed so I thought it was a good deal Frankly, I don't think I'll ever modify this car with the mods that I let George talk me into. The MR is a fantastic car. Any mods must be very carefully considered. I do not want to turn a perfectly good car into an undriveable, loud, POS, I don't care how much whp I can get. I've learned a very expensive lesson here and I intend to not let it go to waste. I have a few mods that I'll do because they are totally and easily reversible and they are not likely to ruin the driveability or reliability of the car. No matter what anybody says, nothing drives better than stock. Perhaps you get more power or a lower stance or whatever, but it will come at a cost somewhere down the line
