Is this package good enough for 340hp?

I am ready to try duplicating the FQ340 setup on my MR. I've already installed the HKS TI carbon cat back and HKS RS instake. In addition, I am planning to get the followings:

1. Hallman MBC pro kit
2. Wallboro fuel pump
3. HKS I/C hardpipe kit
4. HKS downpipe
5. Dynoflash

Is the above system close to the FQ340?

Do you guys think this is the "safest", or most "efficient" setup to extract 340hp? I've seen Megan racing testpipe and downpipe combo for $120 shipped on ebay. Should I go for that instead. I am worry about the CEL thing and the fuel smell going catless.

Any suggestion? TIA

why do you worry about the cel thing? It doesn't do anything to the car, you just wont pass emission. lack of cat smell is fairely horrible tho.

you need the MR setup, such as:

aluminum roof
blisten shocks
lightweight alloy rims (BBS) takes off - 6 pounds or so

and

HKS superdragger exhaust
HKS hard pipe kit
piggyback ECU (like xede)

But you have to remember that euro and JDM MR comes with 10 more horses than USDM.

I think you could get more than 340 if you tune your car right with those setup.

I forgot to mention this, I can only get 91 octane, but already have HKS catback and intake.

Not without a cat delete. With a test pipe on 93oct you will be close. I make approx 340 to 350whp with my mods on 91oct.

Get a UR test pipe you will never get a cel fuel smell yes, but no cel

I would say without a test pipe on 91oct you will be at approx. 310 to 315whp with a test pipe you should be around 325 to 335whp

Btw, is the stock boost gauge "accurate" enough to be used for boost tuning? What is the max factory boost level? and how high the boost should be safely adjusted to? 21 psi?

the stock boost gauge isnt accurate enough from what i hear... greddy makes some nice gauges but by far defi are the best. a lil pricey but super quality.

many guys i know push 1.5 bar no problem it just depends how u want to drive.

btw just incase u were wondering... a test pipe should add about 20whp. even though it might smell a lil, i would still do it. just my 2 cents.

I am wondering why do I need a MBC for my MR. I've called Al @ Dynoflash today asking how high i should set my boost at after the flash. He said just set it to 1.4 on my stock gauge. But isn't 1.4 equal 20.3 psi which is the stock boost setting for the 05 MR??? So, if I am not turning up the boost, is MBC needed? And the boost tapering is controlled by the ECU right?

I have everything you have except the I/C hardpipe kit, and I'm putting down at least 300 WHP on 93, which is about 350 at the crank, so you should easily smoke an FQ340 with those mods. The 340 in FQ340 is CRANK HP, not WHP...
