05 because it has ACD and LSD in the front differential ...

You can still get the sun and sound package on an 05. Justs costs about 1K more. From what I heard you have to get that to get the HIDs in the 05 aswell.

 

Go for the '05 Evo with sun and sound package!

 

Go for the deal, the cars are about the same.

 

i can get either the 05 evo8 for about 28 or the 04 evo8 with sun and sound package for about the same price.

 

if ur trying to save money get an 04 rs you still get the front diff, and find someone selling leather on this if u want it that bad, but give the stock recaros a week and u wont want leather

Get the 05 with the ACD and LSD.

 

i know whats the LSD does but what does the active center differenital do?does that change between teh diff. power to teh front and rear?And how much quicker does the ACD and LSD help than w/o it?

The ACD control the torque betwen the front/rear wheels. You can set more torque to the back to make it feel more like RWD car and more to the front to make it like FF. LSD will make your wheels spin at the same speed when you corner hard into a corner(usually outside spin faster). Both items will help your car handle better . 05 is better aside from the ACD/LSD also get a slighty bigger turbo ,but its MSRP is also 2k higher than the 04. and it's heavier I think.

 

No the most you can send to the back wheels is 50% in tarmac mode. Now a ralliart ACD ECU will allow you to send more power to the rear wheels, but not how they come from the dealer. The 05 don't have a bigger turbo...just a bigger exhaust housing.
You should get your facts strait before you start typing.

 

For sure 05. The ACD and front LSD will make a significant difference. If you're set on an '04, you might as well get an '03 for dirt cheap. Certain dealers in my area still has leftover '03 unsold.
