How good of a friend is he? Is it possible that he sold your car for $6000 and is pocketing the rest? Why didn't he try to reach you when he had a buyer?

Get it now? The reason I'm trying to get it back is cuz im the owner and was not present at the sale. Yeah i regret signing the pink slip but i didnt konw he was gonna sell it for so cheap.
When you provided him with the "pink slip" he owns the car.

You will be lucky if he even gives you the four grand.

I would get that first cuz you ain't getting the car back..save for some unforseeble regret on the "sellers" behalf or the new "buyers" behalf..

What were you thinking in signing the pink slip and physically handing it to this friend??

If the title is in your name and you did not sign over the title or bill of sale HE CANT SELL IT!
The "pink slip" IS the title...Whoever has it owns it..The new owner can make up a freakin bill of sale if he wants..

Or maybe the guy that sold it for ********..(sorry) made one up..

Either way, in theaory our thread starter is ****ED.

You cant get the car back. Your friend acted as your authorized agent selling the car for you. If you had an oral contract with your friend to sell the car for more money, the best you could do is to sue your friend in small claims court for the difference. Good luck.........
