When I first saw the Vortex Generator I hated it and I told myself if I was buying a MR I would have it removed and now I am getting one for my evo

At first it looked weird but after seeing it on a Silver Evo and other Evo's it started to grow on. But the price was way too high at that time and never really thought about it getting one. Wasnt planning on getting one either until last night when I was bored and searched for VG on the net and it linked me to a cheap Mitsubishi parts store. Couldnt refuse after I saw it for that price

Glad you finally saw this thread then. Too bad many will be paying $30 more than we are.....if you know what I mean.

I take it Jim didn't read the multitude of technical crap from Mitsu's research on this thing. It surprised me the amount of research that went in to it.

Actually, I don't know how much engineering reasearch went into the benefits of added downforce (all I've really heard was yammering fom the salesman).

If the Evo is ustable at speed and needs more downforce, and if the engineers at Mitsubishi determined that the vortech generator could add the downforce without the usual tradeoff of added drag (which just slows the car down), then the device makes sense.

If it was conceived after research by the Marketing department, then I'm less interested.

Serilously, I don't know which of these it was.

Although I take it from a couple of other posts that this has been beaten into the groud all ready....

That mitsubishi parts store has nothing to do with your warranty. If you order a boost controller or BOV from them your warranty will be voided. They just have mitsubishi parts for sale online and is not any different from other vendors.
