Grand Turismo Led to Evo Introduction to US?
I've definitely been known for obsessing over GT (all 3 at various stages in life) and I can easily afford one and will be buying one. Though honestly, I've always been interested in rallying and don't count the game as being why I want an Evo (or how I was first introduced to it), though it certainly didn't hurt.

Haven't seen an ad but I'm curious now. Probably just using the S-Type branding as a lure and then people realizing at the showroom to get the 400 HP, you're paying a lot more for a special machine. Or by simply saying new S-Type, they're making some commotion. As for the power, I'd wager a guess it's the same engine as the Mustang SVT Cobra but I'm not sure.
Get back on topic, or risk getting your posts deleted... lol.
I'm just kidding, but, I couldn't resist.
Serious, though, I think that GT3 probably did have a little to do with it, but, I think that with the muscle cars on the way out, and sport compacts on the rise, it was just a matter of time.

also the kids that are like 12 playing gt3 now will want all of those cars when they can afford them or when they hit their mid life crisis, so in a few years instead of seeing old fat guys with bald spots driving corvettes they will be driving skylines and evolutions, lol
The Jaguar you were talking about is an "S-Type R". It has a 4.2 ltr Supercharged DOHC V-8, putting out 390 hp, 399 torque. The engine is all Jaguar, not a Ford Cobra engine (Jags have been raiding the Ford parts bin lately, but they haven't gotten that bad yet!)
Topic....? Oh, yeah! By the way, does anyone here know when Gran Turismo 4 is coming out? It's supposed to be online capable, so I'm REALLY curious.
