I usually just do it from the driver side, it's easy. if you can't do this, unhook the negative on your car.

doesn't matter to me.

uh, when i installed my intake the SES light started flashing. i disconnected the neg battery cable or about maybe 5 min while i smoked a cigarette and then reconnected it. light was then gone. i had no problems w/ idle before or after light came on though. so i don't know if you need to do more to reset your ecu. does your SES light come on? or is it juast a funny idle. maybe your intake is leaking or something.

lol, no, it's just ecu trying to learn again, that's all. Nothing serious.

it's the samething as disconnecting the battery, it's just cutting the power source to ecu.

Like I said, do what you want to reset the ecu.

I did that when I had Cel lights come on every 20 miles. I didn't feel like getting out of the car, open the hood, disconnect the battery, wait, and connect it again, then close the hood, drive around for a bit and have the cel light come on again and redo all the steps all over.

it's up to you, you have an option now.

no, you don't have to cool the engine. You just idle it for a bit, not too long.

I idle for 20 seconds, I don't think it matters at all.
