I'll let you guys know later in the week how much it would cost.

I dont' know if I have time tomorrow to stop by mitsubishi and get their opinion. Then I'm going on a business trip to NYC thru Thursday afternoon. That 05 roof swap would be an awesome and probably the most unqiue idea as of now, I can't image anyone else doing it other than me right now.

But I talked a person today and he said most likely they could get it out without replacing the roof, but that's his opinion.

I'm still leaning towards sunroof though.

yea tell me bout vandalizm n s*. i work at veracom mitsubishi in san mateo cali. an 05 evo 8 was broken into. i dno why the owners of the dealership dont put fences n camera's n s*. but that pissed me off. they took the leather recaros by smashing the windows n yanked the battery cables cause they couldnt start the car without the stargaurd. they thought it had an alarm. so they jus ripped battery cable since they got pissed.

I know how you feel. When I had my Talon, eggs were thrown on the roof right after I had the whole thing painted. These idiots are just jealous, whoever they are. If you can I would go with the sunroof idea, might as well have some good come out of all this.

Sorry to hear about the incident...

It'll be great if you can replace the stock roof with an aluminum piece. According to a BM video, it seems like the 2005 roof panel is stapled/stamped onto a supplementary roof rail that's not part of the '03-'04 roof assembly. Make sure the body shop is capable of making such a modification. Best of luck!

Man I feel your pain. Sone people just don't have respect for things other people work hard for.

This was caused by some jack *** driving down the highway with his tailgate open on his truck. Just lucky no one was killed.

Oh, by the way getting an EVO windsheild replaced on a Saturday at a car show 90 miles from home will cost about $700. Thank god glass coverage in Florida is 100%.

sorry to hear that, I was planning on buying an aluminum roof to ditch my sunroof. There is some work involved such as removing the front and rear glass... if insurance will pitch in that will help, but most likely they will patch it up.

I have pics of the destruction on my yahoo photos page under "vandalism" album...please cry with me...

Urge to kill, rising........
Sorry that that happened to you. Esspecially knowing that you're in Ohio like me. I hope that's not the in thing around here now. Kinda makes me not want to go anywhere in my sh*t now. Esspecially not leaving it parked for a long period of time. Go with the alloy roof if you can, that's what I have on my RS.

Good luck

How bout a carbon fiber roof?? Match it with a cf hood and trunk and you got urself a sweet ride. The roof itself shouldn't cost more than a stock aluminum piece from mitsu and it could save you even more weight on the top of the car. Saw it on a prelude once and i must say it looked rather awesome.
