God dammit, some jag-offs threw an egg at my car. I got most of it off while it was still gooey so I don't think it damaged the paint at all much goo-wise (haha), but where the egg hit the paint has little chips in it, in the pattern of a circle, its not big but im not sure what to do. I'll put up pics tommorow cuz its too dark out right now. I can't believe someone did this, I don't have anyone that hates me or anything.

 

Well, wash it (at least to get the egg off). If you think there may be damage, take pics.

That sucks!! I don't think there is anything else you can do. The best thing is to get the egg sauce off the paint as soon as possible.

I got some of it off the night of, and there was only a tiny bit left in the morning. What exactly does it do to your paint? Where the egg hit, you can see when it exploded into little pieces, the pieces dug into the paint and made little chips in a nice little circle.

does anyone know what exactly eggs do to your car paint, aside from the impact damage? (so I know what to look for)

 

Some A$$ egged my car few months ago when I left it in front of my friends house. I went camping for two days so it got cooked in the sun. If you wash it off and still have a cloudy layer on ur paint then u will have to go to a body shop to get it repaint. Hope your isn't as bad as mine...sorry, too painful to take pictures. Where was it at btw? I got egged at mission (Fremont, bay area).

 

I can't imagine a raw egg would do any damage whatsoever on impact. Stones and road salt are much harder and sharper yet I don't have any chips. As for residue I can't imagine that would do any harm either. (Unless it's baked on). Bird crap is nice and acidic, and I believe tree sap is too.

More than likely it's usually some highschool kids fooling around. I'm sure we all did it when we were 15 just sucks when it comes back around.
