Sunroof Removal

I have a tear in the seal around my sunroof. Does anyone know if you can get the glass out without having to drop the headliner?

I haven't messed with it too much yet, because I don't wan to start into it and end up not having enough time because having to drop the headliner or something.

Because it looks to me that you can remove the glass by taking out these screws in the picture, but then again, I've never done it before. And I'm sure I'd have to adjust it once it's back in. What do you guys think? Anyone done this?

Here's the assembly diagram from the shop manual I have, the screws are indicated in red.

Thing is I called, and they said that if it were because the seal was bad or the sunroof was misallinged they'd fix it under warranty. They said that if it were outside damage, they wouldn't. And I think that is what caused this. What would you guys say by looking at it? I figure I'll try the dealer anyways, just incase they'll do it under warranty. I'm just trying to figure out how hard it'll be if I end up having to do it myself.

btw you can take the sunroof out by removing those 4 screws...it will just pop right off. Problem is that they are a little hard to get back in there while it is all still on the car.

My tear was on the same place but it wasn't that bad. Mine was from the seal sticking to the roof from lack of use. When you install the new one, make sure you put some kind of rubber lubricant.
