Let's not forget that those who choose to go wing-less on their Evo are loosing out on over 80+ lbs of downforce that it creates at 100 mph!!!! That's alot of extra stick when you're flying down the interstate pulling away from those wannabe's!

 

Depends on the girl. I'm 29, a medical doctor, and have been driving BMW's for years. Most of the women I know don't care about cars at all, so they don't notice what car you drive unless it's an exotic. I do know a few women who are really into cars and they appreciate the Evo for what it is.

But overall, I don't think you're going to impress anyone with a $30,000, 4-door, Japanese compact car...no matter what kind of performance it has! Save up and buy a BMW or Benz with 19 inch chrome wheels, tinted windows, and a massive sound system.

[Having said that: if you need a car to get chicks, that's pretty lame. And if a chick dumps you because of your car, you need to reasses your skills in the bedroom or something.]

My woman loves the wing so much she wants to make love on top of the wing. Good thing it has good torsional rigidity!

 

I think the ones I know like the MR valve and HKS RS. Makes the car sound like an airplane and semi-truck at the same time. Best part about it is scaring grannies and little kids walking by.

 

I pulled the wing off mine and my wife thinks i should put it back on. She thinks it makes it less distinctive. [p.s....im 42 and shes 35].

 

A lot more guys look at the car when i'm driving the Evo, a lot more girls looked at me when i was driving the M3. Dam biotches

 

The women over 30 that I know think the wing looks ridiculous. So do most of the men. In the end, though, it is what you think. I know for a fact (since I pulled my wing off in the first month of ownership) that unwanted attention diminished significantly. Police ignore me, I now no longer clear restaurants when pulling up outside (this really happened to me once), I don't have groups of teenagers hanging around the car at the mall, and stop light racers leave me alone. To me, that is much more important than any potential amorous relationships. Walk softtly and carry a big stick.

 

I'm in with Lee_K there. Most people that are my age laugh at the wing, but I have yet for it to have an impact on any area of my social life. If nothing else, I get to laugh with people about the "silly looking car"...all the while I know what I have, and as mentioned many times, almost nobody else does. If you like it, keep it. If you don't, drop it. I have a really hard time removing anything that's CF...esp when it came that way...but that's just my rational for keeping a really big wing on my car :-)

 

well, I'm a girl and I like the wing. My boyfriend's actually not sure what to think of it. The first time he saw it he just paused and said "That's HUUUUGE." Then he grinned. I think maybe he likes it, eh?

 

All the people who dont like the wing dives crappy cars. Just think about it.
and the people who dirves good cars don't know a thing about cars. They only know that if it cost alot of money, it must be good. Any person who knows car alwasy like the wing. As for Woman over the age of 23, they are looking for a rich man to start a family with. They will mostly will be looking at bmw and high dollar cars. May be if you gold plated that wing you might impress them

 

I get crap from the older guys at work for the spoiler all the time but they started to shut up once they rode in it and saw what the evo could do.

As for my girl she likes the car a lot but isn't fond of how much money I spend on it (payments insurance stereo mods etc)

 

My wife is 31. She knows nothing about cars until she met me. She likes my car and encourage me to spend money on it. She even wants me to make it a 11 secound car. 12 secound is good enough for me. She drives my car alot.
