One that vents to the atmosphere?

Look around...Blitz, Apex'i, HKS, Greddy (I think)...lots to choose from.

Does the Evo 7 have any problems when an atmosphereic blow off valve is used. (i.e. idle/MAF) or does it use a MAP sensor???

I'm sure the Evo will use a MAF. You could still use VTA, but you may experience problems idling or decelerating, etc.

It's a pretty big waste of $ as an only mod since all it does it make more noise.

But the rice boy inside me likes the PPSSSHHHHHh sound. I doubt the Evo 8 will be MAP sensored. It'll be MAS, like its always been for the 4G63's.
But hey, people do switch to MAP sensors. A couple guys have done it at MLR already.

Hah, rice or not, that sound makes the adrenaline flow. Louder the better.

I look at this all again, and with the money for a BOV (200-300 dollars), I'd rather get my hands on a nice intake kit or if you really want noise (for a few more dollars), an exhaust. Might as well add some ponies to go with the loudness.

True, true, though I HATE the noise that comes from the aftermarket exhausts.

Yea, you can go for exhaust for loudness. But it doesn't beat the sound of venting atmosphere, besides i like scaring people that stand out side local coffee shops. The Honda kids get my attention too. I might go for turbo upgrade and get the external wastegate and get sshugg shuugg shuggg like the WRC cars.
