My vote goes for Buttonwillow too. I know I probably posted that before, but it is really a better overall test of the EVO than Streets of Willow. There are more places to exhibit the high speed and acceleration of your EVO at Buttonwillow, and yet it has plenty of technical turns too. My favorite configuration is # 25 Counter-Clockwise.

robi - nice to hear from you.
The reasons why I prefer #25 CCW are as follows:
First, it uses the full back straight rather than the bus stop. You can get some serious speed going on the back straight (dog leg), and when you are running CCW, you get to carry a lot of speed into the Riverside (Talladega) sweeper.
Second, Star Mazda is way more fun CCW than CW. CCW is hard left, slide out to the right edge, and take off down the straight towards Magic Mtn.
Third, the Buttonhook ("offramp") is way easier and faster CCW. You come off the short straight and take it like a fast sweeper until near the end of the turn, at which point you gotta brake hard to deal with the twisty stuff. CW that turn is just a low speed mess.
Fourth, if you are going to run CCW, the SCCA's statement that the track is intended to be run in either direction is BS. The Bus Stop CCW is downright dangerous. That's another reason to run the full back straight.
End of Rant.

Nice timing on the event. I'd love to bring one of our cars out there. We'll be at SEMA but the problem is we are building a car for the show this year that isn't an EVO and that is what we will be transporting out there.
I may have to look into bringing two cars out or having Robert represent us with his Buschur Racing sponsored car.

We are about more than horsepower competitions, so your comment was appreciated. Looking at how we did at the recent C&D shootout and the amount of guys we have road racing EVO's now I'd say we can do whatever it is we need to. Road race, autocross, set record drag times or win a dyno competition.
