i think it's evo hunting season. i got my mirror smashed tonight, nowhere near the damage you received... but these vandalism threads have been popping up altogether too often for comfort.

 

Some of the language (bypassing the word filter) and suggested remedies go well beyond our rules and were deleted. We have a word filter in place to keep our site family and work place friendly. If the only words you can come up with to describe the jerks who damaged his car start with "F", then buy a thesarus. Thanks.

Thats sux, i would search and ask people in the area if they saw something, i have cameras where i park my car, if someone would even come close to it i'd kill them.

i am so sorry bro. i know how bad that sucks. i hope they catch that moron and hang him up by his nuts!!! this is totally uncalled for. i cant afford an EVO, not while im back in school. i can barely afford my sartie payments! but comeon guys, even in i was driving a friggin Geo Metro, you cant touch someone elses car! even if your jealous you cant do that.

not to negate your loss, but one time i saw a pic of some idiot keying an ENZO. the guy had some problems, so he installed a camera. he cought some guy going at it with his car key! what a waste. we need to remove these people from the gene pool!

 

I DJ here in the Dallas area and about the same thing happened to me. My car was beat on and I had about 26 dents and several key marks when I came back to my car. I was looking around in DD Dallas hoping I would find the foos that did it. I feel your pain.....

Sorry to see your pride and Joy destroyed, as others have said,
If a thief takes the car, please burn it, so that the insurance has to pay out and you get a new car, but Vandalism that is a whole different ball game, you are left with the smashed up remains, and then the hassle of dealing with the insurance, then knowing later on that your car will never feel the same, Pride and joy Violated.
To those of you who say use a camera and catch these guys, yeah great idea Sherlock, but your car is still going to get trashed again. and then try explaining that to your insurance again, I am pretty sure they would drop your policy after the 2nd claim as you would be considered a high risk. Which inturn loads every other evo owners insurance, as now this car is a high risk.

I think the laws need to be changed to protect victims of this ********** crime wave.
I personally think that we should be allowed to arm our cars as we deem fit to protect it.
Look at the vehicles in South Africa, they have flame throwers coming out of the sides and the body work is electrified. but the thing that sucks here with that idea is that some little kid with his mother in the parking lot may get electrocuted, One thing to say, keep away from my *********** then and you won't get hurt.
Can you actually imagine coming back to your car and seeing a crispy fried Skinny. Mmmmm Yum, makes me feel like getting KFC.
It doesn't matter if it is a Evolution, STI, Lancer ES or a Kia, messing with someone elses ride is B U L L S H I T.
I would be very surprised if the police did S H I T about this as they are obviously too busy pulling over motorists for having a spoiler obstructing rearward vision.
Meanwhile this guys $33,000 car has just been trashed.

If anyone see's some punk smashing a ride, be a man and say something. Just think that it is your ride getting trashed, or at least call the local Krispy kreme and maybe get a Donut duster (cop) to come to your aid.
Or better yet take a picture of the idiot, nearly everyone has a Digital camera of some sort these days, I know most cell phones have a camera now.

The only thing I can say now is this.
The cops had better start doing their jobs other wise there are alot of people out there who are going to take matters into their own and there will be a bigger mess to clean up.

when your cars get vandalized, do you see other cars around you being vandalized too or is it just your car being targeted?

 

Mike I am so sorry to see this. I really hope you catch them and they rot in jail for a while. Damn I would be so fricking pissed if it happened to my car. I guess on the bright side is your ok. Best of luck to you!
