2005 Rs?????

Well i went to the mitsubishi dealership today to find out pricing on a new evo. Well it turns out they dont take them out on sunday's and when i asked the salesman about an RS he goes "they arnt making them for 2005." I go "are you sure because i think they are." Then he says that he is not 100% percent sure but this is what he has been told. Can anyone back me up on this or was this salesman correct. Going into there i was 100% sure that they were going to make them for 2005. Thanks in advance

yeah, they are definitely making them for 2005. dealerships can be stupid, one of the dealerships i talked to a month ago while shopping around for mine told me that there weren't gonna be ANY evo's for 2005. hadn't even heard of the MR.

He probably thought you meant Rallisport. Maybe being more specific would help out.

They are making the RS. I have seen them with my very own eyes at Beaverton Mitsubishi in Oregon.

Whenever a salesperson says "well that's what I was told" you can translate that to "I am feeding you this BS because I want to sell you what is on our lot and/or easily attainable so I can make my money as quickly as possible".

And just to be sure:

http://www.mitsucars.com/lancerevol...ive_models.html

That link actually has the exact string you're looking for -- "2005 Lancer Evolution RS".

and i got the evo RS for msrp (2004 white evo RS for 26999) thats great, i would of really liked to have power windows at least, dont care for the sound because i was going to get some custom sounds, but seriously power windows, and hid's would of been great. also the damn spoiler, didnt matter that much but the spoiler would of looked great, if anybody knows where i can get a weightless white oem spoiler for the evo 8 let me know(for a good price of course)
