All Mitsubishis (and plenty others) smell funky when new. That cosmoline has to burn off the exhaust. Don't worry about it, just turn on your recirc button. It'll go away in a week or two.

trunk is naturally like that as well.. i've got an '04... if really want to make it easier to close, take out the plastic trim around that area... that's all it is... the evo is also naturally a stiff ride... get over it... lol... best thing to do... is to get it muellerized at road race... have the car the way it was meant to be from the dealership... =)

congrats on the new ride...

Check the air pressure in your tires too. Mine came from the dealer with 45lbs, making the ride a bit stiffer than it already is.

hey .. for the trunk .. you can undo 2 nuts (so to speak ) on the trunk lid and adjust it to match the lock on the boot itself .. I did mine and had no problems after .. it's an alignment problem ..

Ummm, no. Dude you might need to spend a little time with your owner's manual before you ask anymore questions.

did you do any research on the car, or about the car, or its history before you bought it?

Yeah, post lots of daytime pics of your car as I think you're the first person on here to purchase an EB.
