Screwy ACD Maybe?
Screwy ACD Maybe?
Alright, got an 05' MR and 1200 miles on it. No launches or anything, so I know it isn't TC. Trust me I blew two in my other one. So pulling out of drive way in reverse and got a weird jerk. Heated up and everytthing. Leaving a bank later on and when I go to turn I can hear the back tires slipping. I am rolling out with like 2mph. Almost like one is turning one is dragging then kicking in. With my TC's they were the front that were delayed. I tried all the ACD modes and nothing changed. So thinking either ACD, Rear Diff, or Rear Axle or something. Anyone know of these problems? Around Christmas so a little tough with the Dealership right now.

I think it's your tire being too cold.
Mine jerks a bit with bald tires or cold tires.
It could be your tires loosing control because it's so cold and your Rear differential compensating for one tire slipping.
But then again, it just doesn't make any sense.
It shouldn't be your rear differential. It can't be your rear axle, unless it's broken.
you don't have a AYC, so that can't be it, the AYC is the torque differential.
the center differential could do that.
ACD doesn't make any sense, because if the one is dragging, the other should drag too.

ACD is the centerdiff .. it doesn't control the rear axle .. either both rear wheels are slipping or they are not .. which means you could have brake binding or rear differential problem .. or handbrake shoe sticky .. why don't you check that 1st before assuming its the ACD.. and it's cheaper
if its your brake binding, the brake should bind in both the rear brakes, not just one.
I would go get it check at the dealership.
But if you live in mass, one of your wheel could be frozen or have snow stuck in it or something around this time of year.
maybe that could be it.
