Salt will rust your car and damage the finish. Wash the car after each storm

They usually just spray thick goopy crap all over the bottom of your car.

its really hard to keep the car clean and away from salt.

When its snowing they throw salt down. So lets say u get home and wash ur car or run thru a car wash. Once u get on the road again the salt is mixed in with all the slush and snow on the road and when u drive its all over ur car again, etc. etc. It sux..

After spending all that cash I couldn't drive my evo in the winter and get it all chipped up and stuff so I just picked up a beater for the winter. It would be fun in the snow though....

Hold on everyone, calm down.

Have any of you been under the EVO??? There is a thick layer of greasy crap sprayed on the underside of the EVO specifically to prevent rust and corrosion from all weather conditions including salt and snow.

The stock exhaust will rust no matter what you do. Aftermarket exhausts made from full stainless or titanium will not rust, but the stock bolts that are reused to mount the exhaust will.

A good periodic underbody flush should be enough to wash all the crap out.

All cars will rust over time, but salt is a catalyst to speed up the rust cycle.

Well I was referring to the actual body of the car, the painted part atleast. I didn't even think of the underside, but good to know its taken care of from Mitsu.

Where do you get an underbody flush done? J/stick a hose under the car and squirt everything? heh..

Your body will be fine as long as you fill paint chips when you find them. Want to keep that exposed metal covered up.

Most car wash places have them as an option or included in the car wash packages.

It's the single most important thing to have done in the winter. Your wax will last enough thru the winter, but the underbody flush will keep things nice and clean.
