The sport car which holds high potential. If hard use is repeated, the strain of the body occurs properly. In order to do this measure, you can think the body reinforcement of the spot increasing and roll gauge etc.. But, with roll Gaea ジ and the like inconvenience to interior space getting on and off it is, it is not the counter-measure which is recommended excessively. With HKS Kansai service it considers the point above and developing the "refreshment bar". Car original habitability convenient characteristic is not designated as sacrifice, of body strengthening was thought. Why buy something JDM when you can buy an Autopower that's 1/3rd the price and SCCA certified. Or you could just go to a local welder/race-shop and have them build you one for whatever your needs.

Hmm...Still a bolt-in cage, though.

If I do one, it will be welded in place.

Nice find, though.

Keep in mind that is for a RHD car too.. The support crossbar is on the wrong side... Don't know if thats reversable.

Couldn't you just fabricate and weld in a second matching piece for the USDM model...assuming this whole thing would fit?

Yep, but once you start "Welding" yourself, you remove the need for a "Bolt in" kit, and you can get something locally made up to your specs for about $650

I did see that Cusco did recently release their bolt-in rollbar (its actually just a chassis stiffner not a "Class legal roll bar") in LHD, I'm sure HKS would do the same if their other markets that had LHD sedans were interested.

In all honesty, I don't want to lose my rear seat, so I'd likely not run any crossbar, but that diagonal bar is needed to provide support for the roof and protect the driver in a driver side rollover where all the weight becomes concentrated over the drivers head..

My Malibu has a 8 point rollbar and I even get Isht from some tech bodies because it doesn't have a halo bar (The portion that runs around the front door opening and across the roofline just above the windshield) But In my situation I'd whack my head on the halo bar in daily driving so I chose not to use one and supported the main hoop with diagonal bars to the floors.. Plus it weighs 100 pounds less than the same kit with the halo bars.

Good point. Now you have me thinking about the reversability of that bar...maybe tapping some new holes on the other side and switching the bar over.

Then it could still bolt-in and be LHD....just a thought.

Yep, that was my thought, but the details of the bar look to use tabs and clevis joints (slotted ends) so you'd at least need to put 2 new tabs on it.

Malibu: the crossbar on the kansai is removable, on the other hand, I had a nasty crash many years ago while on a road race here in Panama, and I flipped over 4 times in the air before the car coming to a stop and thanks to that cage, the kansai one, I can be here typing to you.
