The confidential dealer page isn't finished yet - that's pre-release information that hasn't been finalized. It may be confidential, it may be mostly accurate, but it's not final.

That's a rock-solid yes.

The reason the information wasn't finalized in the information being bandied about right now is because they had not finalized the specs of the AWD system, not because they weren't going to have AWD.

Cheers,

Paul Hansen

They don't say there is a 3-point racing harness standard. Just a 3-point safety belt - ie, the standard belt in nearly every car.

The Federal Bumper crash standard is, and has been for at least 10 years, 2.5 mph. However, many cars pass the test at 5mph. If you go to a Ford dealer, they make great play on how their vehicles are 5 mph bumpers. As far as seatbelts go, it is again a federal requirement that cars be fitted with 3 point safety belts in the front; a vehicle may not be certified for sale as new for normal use (i.e. excluding track cars) with other than 3 point seatbelts.

Anyone know yet what we're getting for a center diff? My money's on a viscous coupling. It would be unusual to see a multi-plate transfer clutch on a stick shift, even though that is essentially what the ACD is. If they used a multi plate clutch, they would almost certainly give us the AYC and ACD as the rest of the hardware is already there in the form of the ABS and EBD systems.

i just hope it's not the same viscous coupling that the GSX eclipse has.. Too fragile... But if driven properly, the fun will last...
