I think I'm going to schedule an appointment to have mine put on....I wouldn't want to void my warranty by doing the job myself!

Wink Service Campaign (will they ever win?)

Is it even possible to buy a passenger car without airbags these days? Must be the McDonald's hot coffee syndrome.... For those of you that haven't received the placard, it reads: "WARNING MB682049 This vehicle has an air bag system. Refer to service manual before servicing or disassembling underhood components. Read the 'SRS' section of manual for important instructions. Improper service procedures can result in the air bag firing or becoming inoperative, possibly leading to injury."

it's just saying, if they pull something out and triggers the "improper service procedures" the airbag could just pop out without hitting anything.

I've never heard of this before. I'm thinking when you take the front of the car out where the airbag sensor is, somehow it'll pop without warning.

I received mine yesterday and just put it on today. It makes me wonder if there was an incident regarding this or if they are just trying to prevent one.

Yeah, got mine on Christmas Eve (Merry Christmas to you too, Mitsubishi! ) Figures - just one day before, my local dealer called me up to let me know they finally received the new weight label for my car!

While I'm putting the new airbag warning sticker under the hood, I may as well put this one in too:

Yeah I got this too. I fi I recall I have had recalls for:
Electrical under hood near control box
Electrical under car near rear O2 sensor
P0300 code, and the delaer was too stupid to flash my ECU so I am dealing with it
Fan sensor, part is on order
A VIN sticker with updated vehicl weights...big deal
And of course this air bag sticker...just in case if I forget this car has an airbag when I'm replacing the FMIC...or something liek that!
