Everyone's final consensus???

Now with the majority of what appear to be the "final" specs (or close to it) for the US Evo and assuming no ACD (though it appears to have gained new life as a rumor once again), who of you have EVERY INTENTION of purchasing one from the initial allotment, assuming it is attainable for the amount you are willing to spend? Feel free to expand as well: who plans on waiting for future possible options if not buying initially?

Yes, sorry, I realize I probably should have posted this in the general forums but I can't move it now

I'm waiting for at least one year. It'll be easier for me financially, and I want to see if ACD becomes an option anyway. It'll be good to see the comparison reviews of the Evo and the STi.

Already got mine reserved (yellow, big spoiler, no sunroof), with $1000 down, at msrp (all in writing!). If something comes out later that I like better (ACD?), I will trade up if I think it is worth it. This car provides ubelieveable technology at a low price, with or without active diffs. It is hard to believe we can get so much for so little money! I haven't been this excited about a car since my GSX in '95!

I'm also planning on waiting to see what options become available on the Evo.

Will wait and see on the front diff. My dealer called yesterday to see if I wanted an initial of his 10, but reviewing what he knows regarding options in the next 6-9 months, we mutually decided to wait. He said no problem getting more and we will order exact options when info available. I would have liked to have seen lsd in front. I don't mind spending for options as I plan on keeping the evobeast a long time................

I'll probably get one, depending on when it actually comes out. If it doesn't get to the dealer until March (or even late Feb. I may get too impatient and get the G35 coupe). I want the silver no sunroof high spoiler, then the blue, but I must admit the yellow is growing on me quickly!

Have we gotten a concrete time to expect the Evo?

I'd prefer to wait a bit and see if price comes down, and how it compares to sti, but seeing as my car died, and its been hard enought to make it till now w/o a car, I'm gonna go ahead and get it now.. not worht it for me to buy another car for a few months. I have a silver evo with big wing and sunroof with my name on it coming in 1st allotment

Since I'm not even old enough to test drive yet, I won't be getting one soon (only 16). I don't mind... i'll wait until I am a more experienced driver. Also, there is a high chance that the Evo IX will be made ( rally isn't changing to the colt just yet). So hopefully, in two years, there will be lots of reviews that one can look into.
