buying a used evo, what do ya think?

Hey guys, im new here. Im trading in my srt4 on this http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...r=&cardist=143 , and just wanted to know if this is a good price? Im getting it for my car on trade (14,500 ouch) and this out the door for the 28500. Im getting preapproval as we speak. I really want a e-blue 05, but jeez, this has got allot going for it allready. Hopfully my next post will be about modding this car. thanx billy

I'd be curious what the $15K in upgrades are. Make sure you have it thoroughly checked out by a mechanic that has experience with EVOs.

That's alot of money for a used evo with 14000 miles. What kinda mods does it have and is it tuned properly? Your spending alot for a car that has no warranty.

Run away. Quickly.

I would never buy someone else's modified car. Buy a used, unmolested Evo and build on top of that. If you want to save money, buy the parts used. Even then you have to know what you're buying and what they're worth.

I'd be highly suspicious of a car w/tons of mods that's on sale. You might end up w/someone elses problem. If I were searching for a used car I'd prefer it to be unmodified. Besides Im sure you can fin an 03 in the 22k-24k range.

Do Not Buy

PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS,

Go find a stock used Evo, save you tons of money

$22k-$24k should be good.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

See, a 5000 miles evo for $24k

Guy at the dealer says no engine mods have been done. all looks and what not. says he has the reciept for the coil overs and they cost 4k. I not 100% sure but the guy who traded it in has purchased 3 cars from this lot now. If no engine mods have been done what is a good asking price for such a car? I dont want someone elses headaches, thats for sure.

If no engine mods, why upgrade the IC (has an ARC)? It doesn't all add up.
