Put the car on the scale today!

With me in the car (I run about 240 lbs), spare in the trunk, and a full tank of gas it weighed in at 3520 lbs. So my pump gas race weight would be around 3450 (cause I run at 1/4 tank of gas or less), and my C-16 race weight would be about 3400 lbs since I remove the spare, jack, and trunk liner when going all out.

My last track outing I pulled 115.38 mph trap speeds. Using that trap speed and 3400 lbs race weight in this HP calculator http://www.dsm.org/tools/calchp.htm I came up with 408 wheel HP. The day befor this track outing I dynoed at Godspeed on their AWD dynapack dyno at 411 wheel HP.

Sounds like Godspeed has a damn accurate dyno to me!

Keith

PS: Now I just need to learn how to drive so I can hit an 11.8 at 115 instead of a 12.378 at 115

Interesting on the weight... With my 245lb *** in the car at full road weight with a little more than an 1/8 of a tank, I weighed in at 3375lbs.

Do you have the sunroof? Mine has it sad to say. Also I race with a 10 lb laptop in the car as well.... not sure if you log as you run. Around 2 gallons more fuel in my car is around 14 lbs. All in all 25 lbs difference (OK, I weigh 245 as well thanks to the Hollidays) is pretty damn close with the slight variations in car conditions. I have the light weight Buschur Battery, and exhaust system.... but the Buschur intercooler is substantially more heafty than the stock FMIC... and no other weight reductions to my car.

Later,

Keith

...the sunroof says it all. I forget the actual weight of that option, but it is substantial. My weight was without sunroof, car as delivered with my big *** in the seat.

Maybe we should start a thread on how much people weigh and how it affects performance?
