Here are a few off the top of my head that won't leave your car "gutted": remove water sprayer / tank, CF trunk / remove wing, remove front and rear crash bars, lighter exhaust.

Well i would think that the one time u need them u will want to have them.. when u crash.
I have an rs and wanted to take some weight out.
I removed the back bottom bench but weighs about 1pound so not worth taking out.
U can remove the passengerr seat with just four bolts. NO GF or Familiy and live alones so was like f it. did it for a few weeks. it was cool felt more like a track car without passenger seat. when someone sits in back get more legroom. But after a while was just too wierd without the pasengerseat. If u have a regular u can remove the sound dedening. Car is louder but it just plays the role of a sports car more. I actually like it gone.

U can use the CF Hood but dont know how much lighter than the aluminum will be might not be worth 800 dollars for half a pound. but the trunk i would do, cause the regular trunk isnt even aluminum.

Oh last thing of the top of my head. I think i read an article about the vishnu guys at a track and needed a battery so the had to pick up a new one. Think the name is Odyssey. weighs about 20 lbs less i think is about half the size. If u relocate the battery to the trunk u will have to add too much weight in cable -ing to make it worth relcating.

If you still have the stock wheels, you could find some lighter ones. Get some VOLKS

Also about the crash bars. Mitsubishi is forced to put those in to pass us inspections for vehicle. So if u get pulled over and they call the guy to inspect ur car that will be something added to the List of tickes they site u with. Or if ur on private property then it doesnt matter. or if u are on the track but u probably really want the crash bar then.
