Lightbulb Vendors...Please include pricing!

The vendors are great, but many offer so many things on sale and then want to PM back and forth with people that are interested about the prices....i dont get it. Just put the darn prices in with your products and end it.......now this would help. Anybody?

While I do agree, I think that one of the reasons that they may do it is to gauge if people are interested or not.

I agree, but there is some silly agreement that they don't post pricing on the boards... pisses me off as a customer, and it serves no purpose what-so-ever to the customer. Absolutely one of this boards greatest downfalls... as a little price war is always good for the customer.

The reason some vendors do not post pricing is because manufactures have a MAP policy so they need to advertise products at a certain price, or they will not be able to carry the product line anymore. While some vendors agree to this MAP policy, they insist on selling the product cheaper, but are afraid that someone will report them or the manufacture will find out themselves.

If this is just a group buy then the price can not be determined until the vendor knows how many people are interested in the product.

However, whenever you see "Price too low to advertise" they are breaking the MAP rules, but are doing it in PM instead of on a forum so they won't get caught and in trouble.

Then PM them.

I belive most vendors would want to sell for the normal price but the fashion of the boards is to ***** everything out.

If you want it cheaper pm. If not order it for the normal price.

Yeah it is pretty annoying to not be able to see the prices for vendors and have to wait for the PMs to go through. But if that is how they want to do bussiness, then so be it.
